
I hope you all enjoyed the holidays. Christmas was lovely and quiet this year and I truly enjoyed it. New Years was even quieter but that is what happens with a little one, perhaps next year we may be brave enough to take him to some type of celebration.
I hope that Christmas and New Years was a lovely time for you all too and that you enjoyed foods, the company of family and friends and found some time to relax.
I have been back to things for 2 days now and although a lot of others have been back at it for a little while now I am just welcoming 2013 for The Little soiree and am exciting for what it will bring and to grown even more.
There have already been some changes made while on Christmas/New Years Leave and there will be more to come. As The Little Soiree grows and I
learn I realize what works and what perhaps doesn’t. I always aim to be as efficient as possible and this is where a lot of changes revolve.
The first thing to change is some of my designs, some have been re-designed, there are some new ones and some have been overlooked as we aim to focus on childrens events. Which include birthdays, Naming Days, Christening and Baby Showers and any other type of childrens event. My designs will reflect this and I am going with a simple style as opposed to some of the more elaborate designs of the past.
I never like to say anything is set in stone because as a creative person I change my mind a lot, ideas are constant and you never know yourself sometimes where you are going to be lead creatively. So things will always be changing even if in just small ways around here.
Another change I am implementing is hours to the shop and to emails etc, at the moment I will trialling them to make it more defined for me. I have a tendency to work on The Little Soiree a great majority of the time and this isn’t always fair to my little family. So as displayed on the Facebook page hours will be Monday-Thursday and the hours will be 9am-8pm. This may or may not change I am going to see how it goes.
Another change is to Revisions, from now on there will be 1 set of Revisions included as opposed to 3. This is in order to become even more efficient and does not include any errors which will always be edited for you however I endeavour to never make any but I am only human. How it will work now is, you order and send through your details for personalizing the printables you have ordered or I request the details from you if you have not provided them. I clarify anything that requires it and then create Proof Files for you and send to you. You list in a reply email any of the Revisions you would like made and then I revised the files and send the Final Files through. Going back and forth has been becoming a bit redundant and is taking up a lot of time when all the Revisions required could be listed in one email as opposed to 3 or 4. This is where asking any questions regarding the printables, design, colours etc is always best before ordering.
Our Customer Letter has now become a lovely little booklet and hopefully will be very helpful. I plan on working on this throughout the year to improve it. It will have more details and details of some of our changes in it too and will be sent through with every order and you never know when it will be an updated version.
I am very exciting for what 2013 will bring, so many possibilities and so many new designs and so many celebrations to be had. Hope your 2013 has started off magically and will be a wonderful year of possibilities and opportunities for you all!
